Edwin Tong on Intellectual Property (Amendment) Bill

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) is reviewing and improving its IP regime to support businesses as intangible assets (IA) and IP become increasingly important both locally and globally. The changes were outlined by Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 12). The Bill makes amendments to key IP statutes to bring about improvements in three broad categories - business friendliness, operational efficiency, and legislative and procedural clarity.
