Edwin Tong responds to clarifications sought on Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Bill and Judicial Service (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill
In Parliament on Wednesday (Nov 3), Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong responded to clarifications sought by MPs on the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Bill and Judicial Service (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill. With the changes requiring amendments to the Constitution, a vote was taken with 85 "ayes", including from Workers’ Party MPs, and zero “noes” or abstentions. Both Bills were passed.
