The Land Transport and Related Matters Bill attempts to balance access and safety - both critical for mobility which offers freedom, said MP Elysa Chen. From protecting legitimate users of personal mobility aids (PMAs) and shared spaces, to accountability for preventing heavy vehicles from speeding and decriminalising missed ERP 2.0 charges, she said the bill embodies the principle that transport infrastructure is shared and graciousness means having rules that protect the vulnerable while serving the needs of all. Ms Chen spoke in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 3).
