Eric Chua on community partners in ground-up efforts to uplift those in need

Community partners are involved in various ground-up initiatives that complement the government’s efforts to meet the specific needs of clients, such as providing cooked meals, dried rations and perishables. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development Eric Chua highlighted these efforts in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 18) in response to an MP's question, saying the government welcomes them as part of the broader social compact where those who have done well are doing their part to uplift those in need.
