Eric Chua on findings on social mobility reported in academic journal
In Parliament on Wednesday (May 10), Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development Eric Chua answered an MP’s questions about whether findings in two papers on social mobility which were reported in an academic journal last year had been reviewed and if so, how they might factor into policymaking in Singapore. Mr Chua said ideas published in academic journals are part of a broader understanding of issues that inform policymaking. He suggested that if the MP had in mind any specific and relevant propositions from the cited papers, he should bring them up to be addressed.
