Eric Chua on funding for Day Activity Centres
The per capita cost of running Day Activity Centres (DACs) varies, depending on each centre’s programming and operational considerations. Government funding for DACs is tiered according to the care needs of clients and is means-tested, depending on each client’s income level. In FY2022, the average amount of Government grants provided to DACs was about S$14,000 per client. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development Eric Chua gave this update in reply to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Thursday (Jul 6).
