Fate of South Korea's Yoon hangs in balance as second impeachment vote looms

04:51 Min

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol's fate hangs in the balance again, as the National Assembly prepares for another vote to impeach him. The main opposition leader has said that the best way to restore order in the country is to impeach Mr Yoon. The first attempt to impeach Mr Yoon failed on Saturday, after most of the ruling People Power Party (PPP) boycotted the vote. But, at least seven PPP members have now expressed public support for the move — just one short of the eight votes the opposition needs to reach the required two-thirds majority. Lim Yun Suk reports.
