With a medical certificate soon to be required for people to use mobility vehicles, could those in need receive subsidies for the cost of clinical assessment? How will the authorities ensure that medical practitioners follow standardised clinical practice when ascertaining need? Can the process of registering mobility vehicles be streamlined, and financial support provided to cover the cost and associated fees? As the intent is for mobility vehicles to only be used by those with mobility challenges, has the government considered centralising the supply of devices, such as through healthcare institutions only? These were some questions raised by MP Foo Cexiang in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 3).
