In 2020, about one in 10 establishments offered compressed work week as a flexible work arrangement (FWA) for employees. The Government will continue to work with its tripartite partners to promote and support such arrangements. Minister of State for Manpower Gan Siow Huang said this in reply to an MP's questions in Parliament on Friday (Feb 18). She said FWAs are not limited only to remote working or hybrid working. The concept of a compressed work week is also more suitable for certain working arrangements, she said. She also urged companies to implement the form of FWAs that best suits their business and employees’ needs.
