Gan Siow Huang on managing remote work

Employers who engage remote workers are best placed to assess what types of work are suitable for this form of flexible work arrangement, how best to implement it, as well as retain and motivate their employees, while ensuring that their business needs are met. Minister of State for Manpower Gan Siow Huang said this in reply to Parliamentary questions on Tuesday (Mar 1). She said the Government should not "overreach" or be "overly prescriptive" in how local companies manage remote work so as not to stifle the spirit of free enterprise and entrepreneurship.
