Gan Siow Huang on public use of facilities at Institutes of Higher Learning

02:43 Min

Some sports facilities at the Institutes of Higher Learning are available for public use under the Dual-Use Scheme. Whether this is possible depends on usage by students, staff, alumni and community partners as well as the availability of separate access points, to maintain campus security. Non-sports facilities such as lecture theatres and classrooms may also be rented out during non-teaching hours for programmes that are run by external training providers or events. Minister of State for Education Gan Siow Huang said this in reply to Parliamentary questions on Wednesday (Apr 3).
