As of end-December 2020, about 720 polytechnic graduates had been placed on the SGUnited Traineeships Programme. Of these, 23, or about three per cent, did not complete the programme. Those who dropped out had found full-time employment or had personal or medical reasons. Minister of State for Manpower Gan Siow Huang said this in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 25), in reply to an MP's questions. She said the programme provides opportunities for graduates to prepare for full-time jobs. "I am encouraged to see that the majority of trainees continue to go through with their traineeships," she said.
