Gan Thiam Poh on Singapore’s COVID-19 response
Singapore has the chance to plan better housing infrastructure to prepare for potential future pandemics, said MP Gan Thiam Poh in Parliament on Monday (Mar 20). He said self-quarantine at home is a good approach but large families with limited rooms face difficulties. He asked if HDB can look into how housing designs can be improved. Mr Gan also asked the Government to study and prepare community quarantine facilities and consider support for young families who do not have enough annual leave to look after children who fall ill one after another.
