Grace Fu on reducing plastic packaging waste

Packaging waste is one of Singapore's primary waste streams and the Government's "priority area" for waste reduction, said Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu. Responding to Parliamentary questions on Tuesday (Feb 15), she highlighted the various ways her ministry has been working with retailers to adopt sustainable packaging waste management practices. She also urged businesses to continue minimising waste in their use of packaging and consumers to avoid excessive use of packaging.
