Hazel Poa on Good Samaritan Food Donation Bill

In Parliament on Tuesday (Aug 6), NCMP Hazel Poa said the Good Samaritan Food Donation Bill would promote more acts of kindness in Singapore society. She pointed out the importance of reducing food waste, given that there are households who still struggle with food insecurity. Ms Poa said she hoped the Government would also do more to encourage food donations, such as by providing tax reliefs to businesses that give away unsold or excess food, and to transport or platform companies that assist with delivering the donations.
