He Ting Ru on Public Sector (Governance) (Amendment) Bill
As Singapore improves its data systems to better communicate and implement policies, it must continue to have measures in place to protect and safeguard sensitive data, said MP He Ting Ru. Speaking in parliament on Monday (Jan 12), she stressed the need to strengthen the governance framework around the increased powers. She wanted to know if and how Singapore's parliament can be kept updated and meaningfully informed about the use of these powers. She also wanted to know how Singaporeans can have clearer avenues for recourse and how sensitive information can be more explicitly safeguarded.
