Heng Chee How on COVID-19 cases in the SAF
Weekly COVID-19 infection numbers in the Singapore Armed Forces’ camps and bases have risen by about 17 per cent from the previous week, along with a surge in community cases due to the Omicron variant, Senior Minister of State for Defence Heng Chee How revealed in Parliament on Monday (Feb 28). Most of the infections were brought in from the community and detected through routine testing. Mr Heng said there has been limited onward spread but the SAF is closely tracking the numbers and is ready to adjust control measures if necessary. He was replying to an MP's questions in the House.
