Heng Chee How on SAF accommodation in camps
Accommodation facilities in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) are designed to be functional and cost-effective in supporting its operational and training requirements and meeting the health and well-being needs of servicemen, said Senior Minister of State for Defence Heng Chee How. Replying to an MP’s question in Parliament on Wednesday (May 10), he said the facilities are adequate and comfortable, and are benchmarked to the guidelines of the Building and Construction Authority and the National Environment Agency in areas such as safety, ventilation, design and sanitary provisions.
