Inaugural batch of 25 next-generation Chinese community leaders begin training programme
A new training programme aims to nurture the next generation of Chinese community leaders. It will take in 25 participants each year, with the goal of grooming at least 100 next-generation community leaders over the next five years. The Chinese Community Leadership Programme is jointly organised by the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Over the next four months, participants from the inaugural batch will take part in masterclasses and government agency briefings. There will also be fireside chats with political office holders and learning visits. Beatrice Yap reports.
