India exam scandal: More than 2 million students retake medical entrance test
More than two million students retook India's medical entrance exam on Jun 21, after allegations of cheating and a paper leak forced authorities to cancel the original test. More than 200,000 officials were deployed nationwide to enforce a fair and transparent examination. The Telegram messaging app was also restricted during the exam period. India's National Testing Agency says it put in place a "multi-layered security framework", including AI camera surveillance, biometric authentication and GPS tracking of question papers.
