India protest: Modi's BJP calls for statewide shutdown over police crackdown on students

Supporters of India’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are calling for a shutdown across the eastern state of Jharkhand, following clashes on Aug 10 between police and students on a march towards the state assembly. BJP supporters are taking to the streets to burn tyres and block roads. Students have been demanding greater transparency and an independent investigation into alleged irregularities in exams to recruit candidates for the civil service. Neha Poonia reports from New Delhi.
