India's national security advisor in Paris for two-day defence talks
India is aiming to strengthen its defence capabilities by signing a deal with France that could bring it closer to its long-time goal of building nuclear-powered attack submarines. India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is in Paris for a two-day dialogue with French Diplomatic Advisor Emmanuel Bonne. The two officials will discuss the details of Paris' offer to support New Delhi's construction of the submarines. Both countries are also expected to seal the deal for India's purchase of 26 Rafale marine fighter jets. Ross Cullen reports.
