Indranee Rajah on Clerk of Parliament
The Clerk of Parliament Ms Ng Sheau Jiuan has been a constant and reliable presence in the House, and carried the heavy responsibilities of office with a steady hand, a faithful heart and an enduring devotion. Leader of the House Indranee Rajah said this in parliament on Monday (Sep 22), in her tribute to Ms Ng, who will retire on Sep 23 after 33 years of distinguished service. She also told the House that Mr Siow Peng Han, who will take over from Ms Ng, is no stranger to Members as he has served as Deputy Clerk since 2008, and that they are “in good hands”.
