Indranee Rajah on Committee of Privileges report
The conduct of the Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh and fellow Workers' Party MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap will be considered by the Public Prosecutor under the criminal justice process. Parliament will only consider the remaining issues, if any, after the criminal justice process has taken its course. Leader of the House Indranee Rajah, who said this in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 15), pointed out that this is the "fairest way forward". She said the recommendations made by the Committee of Privileges are sound and balanced, given the circumstances. She asked Members to accept them and to support the motions to uphold public trust in Parliament and democracy in Singapore.
