Interim Bangladesh government sends formal request to India to extradite ex-PM Hasina

Dhaka has sent New Delhi a formal request to extradite former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The former leader, who is living in exile in India, was sentenced to death earlier this month for her role in last year’s deadly crackdown against a student-led uprising.
