Jackson Lam on Land Transport and Related Matters Bill
The Land Transport and Related Matters Bill is not about regulation for its own sake but about responding responsibly to technological, demographic and social change, said MP Jackson Lam. Speaking in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 3), he pointed out that the bill seeks to protect seniors, support mobility, improve safety and modernise enforcement without losing sight of fairness and common sense. With careful implementation and continuing engagement, it will strengthen not just Singapore’s transport system, but also the confidence Singaporeans place in it, he added.
