Jamus Lim on Singapore's subscription to the International Development Association
The need to act on the international dimension is even greater today than two years ago, given the challenges faced by developing countries around the world, said MP Jamus Lim. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Jan 10), he pointed out that the ravages of COVID-19 remain very real in other parts of the world, especially in the poorest economies of Africa and Asia. He wished that Singapore could go a step further by forming a small but dedicated foreign aid agency. He also stressed the need to focus on providing foreign assistance with an eye on win-win economic outcomes.
