Janet Ang on Building a Healthier SG
In Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 4), NMP Janet Ang applauded Healthier SG for its comprehensive and holistic approach. She stressed the need to take a phased approach to implement the programme. The Government must continue to invest to ensure patient data is protected. There will also be a need for trained doctors, nurses and staff to engage, educate and support the patients in the enrolment and transition journey. She pointed out that there is still a large group of seniors who may not be digitally savvy. She wanted to know how the Ministry of Health will bring them on board the programme. She also asked how Healthier SG will apply to permanent residents and employment pass or work permit holders.
