Janet Ang on Committee of Privileges report
Honesty, integrity and trust are the “badge of honour which has put Singapore on the world map”, allowing it to earn its reputation of high trust in business, diplomacy, Government and society, said NMP Janet Ang in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 15). She said she was satisfied with the process taken by the Committee of Privileges (COP) and that “to ignore the evidence is not an option”. She felt that the COP’s recommendation to refer Workers’ Party leaders Pritam Singh and Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap to the Public Prosecutor was the right option, so that the parties who were not the original subjects of the probe, as she put it, have the chance to defend themselves and clear their names.
