Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh should come out "clearly" and tell Parliament his response to the specific findings of the Committee of Privileges report. He should explain the "various inconsistencies" which have occurred on the facts based on his own accord, said Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information and Health Janil Puthucheary. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 15), he said the allegation that Mr Singh planned and executed what appeared to be a "ruthless deception of his party, the public and Parliament" cannot be left unresolved. "It must be dealt with unambiguously and if necessary, by the Courts with neither fear nor favour, for the sake of our democratic institutions," he said.
