Janil Puthucheary on compliance burden of COVID-19 measures
Differentiated measures such as TraceTogether and SafeEntry which affect public health and safety do have a compliance burden, said Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary. They have managed to keep the COVID-19 case fatality rate low and slow the spread of the virus. These are "useful outcomes", he said in reply to an MP's questions in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 3). As long as Singapore needs these public health measures, the easiest and least burdensome way is to continue with them. They are worth the compliance costs and burden, he said. He added that the authorities will continue to rationalise and simplify safe management measures.
