Janil Puthucheary on options for financial support for cancer treatment

Patients who are using cancer drugs that are not on the Cancer Drug List may appeal to the Ministry of Health to use more MediSave for their treatment. Subsidised patients being treated in public healthcare institutions can approach medical social workers to apply for financial assistance if they cannot afford to pay for their healthcare bills. Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary said this in reply to an MP’s question in Parliament on Wednesday (May 10).
