At least one person has been killed and thousands evacuated from parts of northern Japan as the country’s largest wildfire in three decades continued to raze the region on Monday (Mar 2). Japan has deployed around 1,700 firefighters to battle the wildfires near the city of Ofunato, which has since spread to over 1,800ha, according to some reports.
