Freelancers have been suffering high levels of work stress as they continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and face an increasingly uncertain business outlook, said NMP Jean See in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 6). She highlighted three groups - platform workers, working caregivers and mature small business owners. Her suggestions included building an inclusive and supportive ecosystem for freelancers with caregiving responsibilities and providing mature freelancers with targeted and sustained funding support to cope with rapid digitalisation.
