Jean See on Food Safety and Security Bill

Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 8) where she voiced support for the Food Safety and Bill, NMP Jean See sought clarity on three areas of its impact to consumers and workers, such as checks on food vending machines, as well as ensuring that persons setting up food businesses are made aware of the new food safety requirements. She also wanted to know if the Singapore Food Agency takes into consideration past contraventions of licensed applicants when assessing their suitability to operate food businesses.
