Jeffrey Siow on lessons from Circle Line train service adjustments
On the ongoing service adjustments along the Circle Line for tunnel-strengthening works, Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow said that the Ministry of Transport will incorporate lessons and feedback from commuters in refining its provision of alternative travel options for future service adjustments. In his parliamentary reply to an MP’s questions on Thursday (Mar 5), he highlighted that with several measures put in place before and during the works, including the deployment of crowd marshals and replacement shuttle bus services, wait times and loading for trains were kept manageable. Mr Siow also noted that it has not been decided if scheduled closures will be needed for the North East Line improvement works.
