Josephine Teo on Singapore’s position on global AI cooperation initiatives
Singapore has been invited to participate in the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO) proposed by China. There is no ASEAN position on WAICO or the US-led Pax Silica AI coalition. Singapore will therefore consider the invitation alongside its broader engagements with China and other international AI cooperation initiatives. Digital Development and Information Minister Josephine Teo said this in reply to parliamentary questions on Wednesday (Sep 9).
