K Shanmugam corrects factual error from previous Parliamentary sitting
In Parliament on Monday (May 9), Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam corrected a factual error he had made during the previous sitting on Apr 5. In response to an MP’s question on safeguards to protect the public from recalcitrant sex offenders, he had said preventive detention sentences could range from seven to 14 years. He clarified that this should be seven to 20 years.
