03:28 Min

Attendance-related incentive schemes that may deter workers from applying for medical leave when they are sick go against the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices (TGFEP), said Senior Minister of State for Manpower Koh Poh Koon. He said that from next year, the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) will advise employers still engaging in this to stop and if they do not, enforcement action may be taken against them, including suspension of work pass privileges. Dr Koh was responding to a Parliamentary question.
