In 2025, caregivers of more than 14,600 seniors, as well as more than 3,600 persons with disabilities and children with developmental needs, used subsidised respite care services. Providers are generally able to meet demand, with priority given to caregivers with urgent needs, including those experiencing burnout. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon gave these details in parliament on Wednesday (Jan 14) in reply to an MP’s questions.
