Koh Poh Koon on COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Amendment) Bill
In Parliament on Friday (Mar 11), Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon opened the debate on extending the validity of a law allowing the imposition of COVID-19 safe management measures (SMMs) by one year. This will allow Singapore to remain “nimble and adaptable” to the evolving pandemic situation and face any possible new variants. It comes as Singapore plans to simplify SMMs to the five most important and effective ones - mask-wearing, group sizes, capacity limits, safe distancing and workplace arrangements.
