Koh Poh Koon on harassment and violence-related cases against platform workers
The police currently do not track the number of harassment or violence-related crimes against platform workers and to date, the Ministry of Manpower has also not received any complaints from platform workers about harassment or violence, said Senior Minister of State for Manpower Koh Poh Koon in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 8). Replying to an MP’s questions, he said that workers are already protected through the Protection from Harassment Act, where individuals who harass or commit violence against platform workers may be liable for criminal offences.
