Koh Poh Koon on measures against Nipah virus risks

The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) has issued clinical guidance to all medical practitioners, conducted an educational webinar for primary care doctors, adjusted the electronic Health Declaration Card for all incoming travellers and activated temperature screening for travellers arriving on ships from areas affected by the Nipah virus. The Ministry of Manpower has shared precautionary health measures with groups such as migrant workers, employers and dormitory operators. CDA is monitoring the situation in India and globally closely and will adjust its measures if needed. Senior Minister of State for Health Koh Poh Koon said this in reply to an MP’s question in parliament on Thursday (Feb 12).
