Koh Poh Koon on new visitor management system at Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre
A new visitor management system at Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre is being implemented in phases to ensure a smooth transition. It will start this month with operators and tenants so they have time to adapt, before being rolled out for external visitors at a much later stage. Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment Koh Poh Koon said this in Parliament on Wednesday (Apr 3). He was responding to an MP’s question on possible vehicular congestion that may arise from the new measures. Dr Koh said trial kiosks have been set up for user demonstration and practice sessions. He said he tried out the system himself and it was very simple, taking less than 10 to 20 seconds. He gave the assurance that feedback will be taken into account to make any adjustments that are needed.
