Koh Poh Koon on 'successful journey' for tripartite approach to workplace fairness

The Tripartite Committee to ensure workplace fairness aims to complete its work in the first half of 2022. The Government will then consider its recommendations and if accepted, will start work to prepare legislation. Senior Minister of State for Manpower Koh Poh Koon, who said this in reply to Parliamentary questions on Tuesday (Sep 14), said even as the Tripartite Committee continues its work, the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) and Manpower Ministry will ensure that guidelines are upheld. TAFEP will step up education and outreach. Describing the tripartite approach to enhancing workplace fairness as a "successful journey", he said Singapore will continue to maintain the strong emphasis on mediation even as it strengthens its legislation.
