Liang Eng Hwa on Platform Workers Bill
The platform sector is still relatively new and seeking “optimal financial equilibrium”, said MP Liang Eng Hwa in Parliament on Monday (Sep 9). With that in mind, he asked how proposed changes to better support and protect platform workers will impact the overall ecosystem, as well as the terms of trade among stakeholders, including not just companies and workers but also consumers and food and beverage operators. Mr Liang also wanted to know what more the Government can do to strengthen the resilience and robustness of the sector and support the reskilling of workers.
