Louis Ng on Community Disputes Resolution (Amendment) Bill
The Government should put in "equal effort" to tackle second-hand smoke which kills and poses very real health risks that can be fatal. MP Louis Ng made this call in Parliament on Tuesday (Nov 12), saying those who have sought recourse through the law often run into “dead ends”. He hopes the Government will take second-hand smoke just as seriously as issues such as hoarding and noise nuisance. He wanted to know what solutions the Government is studying to address second-hand smoke in homes and whether there is a timeline to include this in the law covering conflict resolution.
