Can more resources go into levelling the playing field for independent and smaller creators in the event of copyright disputes? That was a question put forward by MP Louis Ng in Parliament on Monday (Sep 13). He gave the example of right of attribution, where a creator has the moral right to be identified if another person causes their work to be published, and suggested that a special court process be set up for cost-effective enforcement.
