Louis Ng on Coroners (Amendment) Bill
The Coroners (Amendment) Bill will allow for greater flexibility in a Coroner's discharge of duties and save valuable resources, said MP Louis Ng. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 5), he sought clarifications on the Bill. One of them is on the investigative process. He wanted to know what remaining mandatory requirements the Coroner has to fulfil in preliminary investigations. He asked if additional steps can be taken to strengthen the existing safeguards to ensure the correct identification of bodies. Â
