Louis Ng on Housing and Development (Amendment) Bill

The Housing and Development (Amendment) Bill will make it easier to carry out upgrading works on common areas in heartland shops and facilitate works to revitalise the heartlands, said MP Louis Ng. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Jan 10), he also sought clarifications on the Bill. He wanted to know how the Housing and Development Board (HDB) will determine if upgrading works on common property fall within the purpose of commercial property upgrading works. He also said HDB should provide property owners with enough information to exercise their vote meaningfully.
